Tony Curtis & Associates Inc. is currently interviewing for the position of Senior Accountant in the Richmond Hill, Woodbine and 404 location. Our client is a well-established brand selling consumer goods sourced overseas to Canadian & US retailers, leading some of the largest global brands through the product development process from inception to sale. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant is a key contributor to the finance team providing exceptional planning and analytical, and reporting support.

Education, Qualifications and Experience Required
· Combination of University / College training and/or equivalent work experience
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
· Good knowledge of accounting and reporting concepts, in particular inventory and standard costing
· Good working knowledge of common business office software tools
· Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems an asset
· Ability to create and analyze Excel spreadsheets
· Experience with database reporting tools an asset
· Analytical and problem definition skills, requiring high attention to detail
· Communication skills are paramount – role requires effective interaction with other finance team members, other departments, external partners
· Organizational skills are paramount - ability to prioritize, manage coordinate multiple tasks
· Chinese language skills an asset.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities May Include:
· General ledger maintenance
· Accounts receivable and payable ledger maintenance
· Inventory costing and ledger maintenance
· Monthly/quarterly/annual close procedures, reconciliations and adjustments
· Financial reporting and analysis
· Cash flow planning and treasury duties
· Implement and monitor financial controls
· Manage the financial statement audit process
· Ad hoc financial reporting
· Supervise & support junior accounting staff
