Tony Curtis & Associates Inc. is interviewing for the immediate role of Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager in the Toronto area. Reporting to the Director of Product, the QA/QC Manager plays a critical role in ensuring all accessories produced and sold by the company meet the required high-quality standards and specifications. This role involves overseeing the entire QA/QC process, implementing quality control procedures, and collaborating with factories and 3rd party auditors. Responsibilities:

· Lead the overall QA/QC management system across the entire business which includes establishing and maintaining internal/operational QA/QC systems in collaboration with internal/operational teams and establishing and maintaining factory QA/QC management systems with our strategic manufacturing partners.

· Continuously improve QA/QC systems by identifying gaps and implementing changes.

· Perform product safety reviews for all new and existing product lines.

· Manage, maintain, and implement product testing protocols.

· Prepare and submit product testing requests for third party testing.

· Educate and coach all internal teams and factory partners involved in QA/QC.

· Review and analyze results of product testing to determine compliance and areas for improvement.

· Oversee third-party factory audits to ensure compliance with product manufacturing requirements.

· Oversee documentation and maintain compliance across all elements of the QA/QC system.

· Monitor changes in government, Health Canada, FDA, and ISO standards, and ensure compliance.

· Monitor industry trends for recalls and product safety innovations.

· Manage a robust recall management system to quickly respond to any product issues.

· Prepare regular reports to upper management outlining quality control and assurance metrics and KPIs.

· Serve as the lead for all QA/QC responsibilities among internal teams, third-party testing/audit partners, factories, brand, and retail partners.


Job Requirements:

Education and Training:

· Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant field (quality management, engineering, or a related discipline)

· Quality control certification is a definite asset.


Experience:

· 5+ years of proven experience in quality control and assurance. Experience overseeing a 3rd Party auditor is a definite asset.


Other Skills Required:

· Strong knowledge of quality management systems and tools (ISO 9001)

· Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations

· Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills

· Analytical mindset and attention to detail

· Problem solving and decision-making abilities

· Proficient in relevant quality control software and tools

· Working knowledge of Mandarin is preferred

· Ability to lift up to 25lbs

· Supervise 3rd party auditor
