Tony Curtis & Associates Inc. is actively interviewing for the position of Business Analyst/Forecasting & Planning for a leading fashion accessories brand in the Toronto area. In this role the ideal candidate will support the Operations Team in achieving optimal inventory levels, flow of merchandise, supply chain efficiencies, and forecast accuracy. Strong analytical skills and superior cross-functional communication skills are a must for this role. Responsibilities:
· Manage the Order Review Process for assigned categories/brands
· Develop allocation plans that meet store needs and maintain optimal inventory levels and assortments
· Analyze current and historical trends and adjust inventory to maximise sales, inventory turns and gross margin, and reduce obsolete inventory
· Effective planning and flow of inventory at store and warehouse levels for optimization of stock and inventory flow
· Analyze assortment performance and devise exit strategies for poor performing SKUs
· Track and analyse variances between forecasts and results
· Collaborate across teams to develop assortment plans and buy quantities for new launches
· Support and assist with on-going analysis with recommendations for action
· Data integrity - monitor and maintain significant dataset volumes from multiple sources
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in business, mathematics and or statistics is a huge asset
· Minimum 2+years in supply chain analysis, replenishment, inventory and demand planning (reporting, buying, assortment and retail planning)
· Profieciency in data analysis, statistical modelling and forecasting techniques
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task while adapting to changing priorities
· Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate complex data clearly
· Maintain sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
· Pro-active, strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and ability to use insight to recommend improvements and efficiencies
· Outcome focussed – think critically and execute tactically
· Stellar math and statistical skills
