Tony Curtis & Associaites Inc. is actively interviewing for the position of Human Resources Generalist Manager. The Human Resources Generalist Manager will be an integral team member will be responsible for providing organizational support to all functional areas of Human Resources. Major duties consist of recruitment and selection, employee orientation and onboarding, development and administration of HR policies, procedures and programs, employee relations, benefits administration, health and safety, and training & development. In this role, the successful candidate will be organized, collaborative, and results oriented. You will be particularly adept at building strong and trusting relationships with all team members, while balancing multiple projects within a growing organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the primary point of contact for human resources and related matters, including employee relations issues, manage/handle issues as appropriate, escalate issues as needed
• Develop and maintain effective employee relations by actively engaging with employees and managers and provide regular support
• Work with management to manage talent acquisition process and fulfill recruitment need through internal and external job advertisements, managing career page on Company website, candidate screening, interviewing, background checks
• Perform onboarding processes, including conducting new hire orientation, coordinating and collaborating with other departments in planning and delivering equipment (computers and accessories) for new hires
• Perform offboarding processes: notifying resignations to appropriate teams, conducting exit interviews, organizing retrieval of company equipment and tools, etc.
• Develop, implement and administer HR and related policies, procedures and programs, employee handbook, and promote positive employee relations
• Assist with the development and maintenance of job descriptions
• Execute HR Administration duties including but not limited to drafting of employment letters, maintenance of employee files, reports of employee birthdays and work anniversaries
• Ensure ongoing health and safety compliance and participate on the Joint Health & Safety Committee
• Assist with developing performance plans and identifying training & development opportunities
• Administer company benefits program(s) including handling employee inquiries
• Partner with leadership and employees to develop/build and implement programs and initiatives to improve workplace culture (i.e., arranging company events for employees, developing employee appreciation program(s)
• Develop and conduct employee training programs and ensure compliance with federal and legislation
• Other duties and responsibilities as required to meet the needs of our business
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must have a degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of working experience in Human Resources within a similar role is required
• CHRP or other related HR designations are an asset
• Effective communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal - and an ability to tailor communication style to diverse audience at all levels of the organization
• Experienced dealing with sensitive and confidential information and situations
• Knowledge of ESA and other employment legislation and intermediate knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Computer literate: proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of an HRIS is an asset
• Ability to work collaboratively at all levels providing a prompt courteous service to all employees
• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key external stakeholders
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
• Self-directed with an ability to organize, plan, prioritize and able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
• Detail oriented, initiative-taking, flexible, and adaptable to changing demands and requests
• Ability to analyze information and problem-solve efficiently
• Must be able to commute to the office
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
