Report to Domestic Production Manager
This job entails being on the road and on factory floors 95% of the time. This is not a desk or work from home job:
Main responsibility is travelling throughout all domestic factories to ensure client standards are being met at every stage of production and catching problems along the way.
Managing/coordinating a small team of hourly QC workers at final stage of production to approve units before they are shipped to our 3rd party warehouse
Recording hours of hourly workers to submit to payroll
Recruiting and training hourly workers so we have a team during heavy production periods.
Ensure production is made as per Quality Standards.
Inspect and provide improvement suggestions on reference samples, PPS so that product is made in an efficient & cost-effective manner.
Collect and analyze inspection data, initiate corrective action and deal with non-conformance proactively.
Work with cross functional teams to find solution to Quality Concerns for Continuous improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
3–5-year experience in Apparel Manufacturing Industry specially in ladies hi fashion garments.
Experience in Ladies suits, jackets, trousers, tops etc. preferred.
Knowledge of inspection by AQL techniques.
Degree / Diploma in Apparel manufacturing Preferred
Strong knowledge of Garment Construction, Technical packages, Pattern and manufacturing process.
Experience of PPS approval, inline inspections and final inspections at vendor factories.
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.
Should be a team player & detail oriented.
Able to multitask, Prioritize and handle challenging situations.
Should be a problem solver, Organized, Innovative, Proactive and Goal Oriented.
Able to draft SOPs for Quality Assurance.
Basic computer skills -MS word / Excel
Excellent written and verbal English Skills.
