RESPONSIBILITIES / POSITION:
We are an accessories & apparel company looking for a detail oriented individual with
graphic design skills to join our team as a Packaging Development Assistant. The
Packaging Development Assistant will be responsible for reviewing and tracking all
packaging in production while ensuring that brand standards and production timelines
are met as directed by the Packaging Design & Development Manager. The ideal
candidate must be able to learn quickly (training will be provided), thrive in a fast paced
environment and have an interest in packaging design as related to fashion accessories
and apparel.
- Daily correspondence with overseas factories about packaging development
- Review digital and physical packaging proofs in detail and clearly communicate
any issues
- Update QC forms with comments and approvals of packaging at all development
stages (digital proof, printer proof, final mockup)
- Communicate daily production updates to the Packaging Design & Development
Manager
- Assist in creating packaging mock ups for trade shows and sales presentations
- Manipulate graphics in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create detailed
packaging spec files
- Coordinate packaging approvals with Private Label customers and Licensors
