Description :

Department Manager, Key Accounts is responsible for the day to day management of Key Account Administrators (KAA) and managing the Pre-Sales Planning, Sales Management, General Account Management and Customer Project Schedule Management.
Without restricting the generality of the above-stated basic functions, this position shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following:
Responsibilities and tasks:
• Leads the Key Account Team to manage the customer cycle from account creation, product development, pricing, manufacturing and distribution
• Develops the Key Account Team using the performance review system with ongoing coaching to assist KAAs in achieving their performance goals.
• Develops relationships with all functional support departments (Product Development, Product Management, Creative and Supply Chain) to execute account strategy through customer initiatives in a timely and efficient manner
• Participates in the sales planning process to ensure sales forecasts align with customer initiatives and promotions
• Coordinates with the Sales Team to manage the customer’s marketing calendar to proactively react to the customer’s marketing presentations and implementations
• Report to Director of Sales regularly on Departmental goals, timelines, and issues, individual work accomplishments, progress, and training requirements
• Works with the Sales Teams to assess and communicate customer needs and implement a process to manage the creation and delivery of product to the customer
• Reviews new customer opportunities and contracts with legal, operations, supply chain, logistics and finance. Coordinate the creation of a customer operational profile
• Responsible for ensuring KAAs implement sales process and policies as established by management
• Oversee the operational project plan review process ensuring functional department responsibilities are on track
• Escalate customer issues through the organization and oversee resolution
• Participate in creating and managing policies and procedures to improve productivity and responsiveness to customer requirements
• Perform annual performance reviews for the members of the Key Account Team
• Other duties as assigned

Skills :

Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years’ relevant experience
• Experience working with Retailers and retailer systems: eg Retail Link
• A strong bias for communicating in a prompt, succinct and professional manner with a strong appreciation of the importance of building customer relationships and listening to their needs
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Very strong organization skills
• Advanced spreadsheet and presentation skills
• Highly Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of financial and sales systems
