1.Creates and updates Style Specification package as per style requirements.
2.Checks and provides written comments on sizing, style, skin and workmanship of development samples.
3.Creates size specification and evaluates fit.
4.Analyzes and resolves manufacturing construction issues by communicating with appropriate parties.
5.Explores, analyzes and implements new and more efficient methods and standards to improve production cycle and garment quality.
6.Selects trims and thread colors for approved production colors.
7.Organizes department samples, prepares samples for line reviews and presentations. Prepares documentation on all samples for sale. Maintains sample inventory.
8.Creates Sample Orders for manufacturing of in house samples.
9.Complies with company policies and procedures and performs other tasks as assigned
•Post Secondary education or equivalent in Clothing Production
•Minimum of 3 years’ related experience in garment sizing, fit, construction, workmanship, pattern making and sewing techniques; previous experience working with leather and suede is an asset
•Excellent oral and written skills in English required; Chinese communication skills an asset
•Strong administrative and computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Corel Draw and Momentis an asset.
•Ability to work independently and co-operatively in a team environment
•High attention to work detail, organization and accuracy with a focus on the ability to follow up and complete work assignments within tights deadlines.
•Availability to work extended hours and occasional weekends as required.
