Description :

The Field Auditor is responsible for comprehensive inspections of both in-line and finished garments plus the creation & distribution of reports from data collected. This position is accountable for quality approval of all trims and provides departmental support on fabric approvals and customer returns.


1. Weekly inspections at local Makers of finished goods and in-line activities
2. Scheduled inspections at non-local Makers of finished garments and in-line activities
3. Accountable for communication with Vendors in regards to production issues and expediting pro-active resolutions in timely manner by getting the right stakeholders involved
4. Assists Production team during Vendor visits with information on WIP, delivery and any immediate issues
5. Inspections of finished goods both prior to shipping and following receipt at H/O
6. Accountable for creating comprehensive reports from daily collected data and timely exchange of results to all stakeholders
7. Analysis of report data and creation of monthly & seasonal Vendor Report Cards
8. 100% inspection of Salesmen samples
9. Inspects all Pre-production Samples from Makers for measurements, construction, materials used, accessories and embroidery, creates reports and informs of results to all stakeholders
10. Responsible for organizing meeting with Pre-Production Sample Approval Team to review samples and to incorporate team’s findings into report
11. Back up to departmental QC Coordinator during absence and/or times of high volume of work for in line, cleaning and customer returns activities
12. Assists with delivery and pick-up of garments to/from drycleaner
13. Assists Production with delivery of garment components for embroidery
14. Inspects all notions & trimmings for color against standard, quality of material & & workmanship, keep records and informs of results to all stakeholder
15. Maintains records of all notions & trimmings approvals and standards
16. Back up to Materials Inspection & Allocation Coordinator in his absence in approval of main & secondary fabrics
17. Organize and maintain proper filing of all documents
18. Assist in Year End inventory counting of raw materials and finished good
19. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the management
20. Complies with company policies and procedures and is available to work extra hours when needed during weekdays and Saturdays

Skills :


• College Degree or Diploma in apparel design and manufacturing
• Minimum of 10 years in apparel product development and domestic manufacturing
• Minimum of 3 years of quality control experience
• Excellent verbal & written skills in English ( Asian &/or French language skills considered as assets )
• Familiar with patterns, cutting, sewing and finishing operations & equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Must own a car , use highways and be willing to travel
• Computer literate-Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, etc.
• Able to make well considered decisions
• Must be organized, very detailed oriented and capable of multi tasking
• Effective interpersonal skills
