One of North America¡¦s leading manufacturer and distributor of promotional apparel with office in Canada, United States, Malaysia and Bangladesh has an opening for a Global Quality Manager. This position will be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Responsible for coordinating the activities required to meet quality standards. Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system and produces data and report on performance, measuring against set indicators.
„X Develop, Manage implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company¡¦s Quality Assurance Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements; schedule QC inspections and audits for all upcoming shipments from oversea locations
„X Organize and manage the Quality Assurance function in close collaboration with the Management Team; Effectively interact with Technical, Development and Production teams to maintain product quality; ensuring that targets are achieved
„X Working with vendors and suppliers to establish, implement and maintain quality requirements in the final product;
„X Lead change improvement in quality across the organization to ensure compliance with textile standards and legislation as per Quality Manual; Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff, setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
„X Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC
„X Supervising Technical and QC staff in carrying out inspections, tests and checks; Ensuring inspections, tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary;
„X Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization by establishing KPIs.
„X Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability including budgetary control issues;
„X Monitoring QA/QC performance by gathering relevant production data and producing statistical reports to be communicated with vendors. Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.
„X Preparing clear descriptive documents to support quality claims and negotiate settlements with vendors. Liaising with social compliance auditors, testing laboratories, vendors and suppliers to ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with specifications and standards.
„X Perform hands on duties along with QC Team during inline and final inspections, organize and set pre-productions QC meetings with vendors to assure all specifications are understood and quality requirements are set to be meet.
Bachelor Degree in Textiles and/or related discipline;
15 years experience working in the garment manufacturing industry with 10 of those years working with quality management systems and audits;
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
Strong (people) leadership, inter-personal and communications skills, and 5+ years of management experience;

Demonstrates experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors;
Ability to handle factories in multiple locations;
Experience in garment construction and production control quality assurance; and
Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel whenever necessary;
