Job Title: Quality Control Coordinator – Finished Goods
salary range $40k + full benefits
Reports to: Supervisor, Quality Assurance – Finished Goods
Location: Toronto

Summary of Position
The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for comprehensive inspections of both in-line and finished garments plus the creation & distribution of reports from data collected. This position is accountable for quality approval of all trims and provides departmental support on fabric approvals and customer returns.
Key Responsibilities
• Weekly inspections at local Makers of finished goods and in-line activities
• Scheduled inspections at non-local Makers of finished garments and in-line activities
• Accountable for communication with Vendors in regards to production issues and expediting pro-active resolutions in timely manner by getting the right stakeholders involved
• Assists Production team during Vendor visits with information on WIP, delivery and any immediate issues
• Inspections of finished goods both prior to shipping and following receipt at H/O
• Accountable for creating comprehensive reports from daily collected data and timely exchange of results to all stakeholders
• Analysis of report data and creation of monthly & seasonal Vendor Report Cards
• 100% inspection of Salesmen samples
• Inspects all Pre-production Samples from Makers for measurements, construction, materials used, accessories and embroidery, creates reports and communicates results to all stakeholders
• Responsible for organizing meeting with Pre-Production Sample Approval Team to review samples and to incorporate teams findings into report
• Back-up to departmental QC Coordinator during absence and/or times of high volume of work for in-line, cleaning and customer returns activities
• Assists with delivery and pick-up of garments to/from drycleaner
• Assists Production with delivery of garment components for embroidery
• Inspects all notions & trimmings for color against standard, quality of material & workmanship, keep records and communicates results to all stakeholders
• Maintains records of all notions & trimmings approvals and standards
• Back up to Materials Inspection & Allocation Coordinator in their absence in approval of main & secondary fabrics
• Organize and maintain proper filing of all documents
• Assist in Year End inventory counting of raw materials and finished goods as needed
• Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by management
• Complies with company policies and procedures and is available to work extra hours when needed during weekdays and Saturdays

Skills :

Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years in apparel product development and domestic manufacturing coupled with a minimum of 3 years of quality control experience

Education:
• College Degree or Diploma in apparel design and manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent verbal & written skills
• Familiar with patterns, cutting, sewing and finishing operations & equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, etc.
• Able to make decisions
• Must be organized, detailed oriented and capable of multi-tasking
• Effective interpersonal skills
