The Opportunity: Apparel Graphic Designer
Salary: $40 - $48K
Location: Toronto
Tony Curtis & Associates has a great opportunity for a talented apparel graphic designer with one of our major clients currently expanding their In-House Creative Team. Your goal will be to enhance the brands by turning private label collections into must-have wardrobe essentials, specializing in hosiery, headwear, loungewear, fashion accessories, and health and beauty products. If you are a self-starter with a positive outlook, exceptional illustration and surface pattern design skills, who thrives in brand and product representation with innovative design ideas for collections and presentations then we want to hear from you now.
Responsibilities:
-Develop innovative & creative ideas for infants, kids, men\'s and ladies apparel, hosiery and accessories collections
-Manage custom collections and presentations for clients, in collaboration with the sales team
-Create detailed product line sheets, including technical illustration and product construction details
-Collaborate with sourcing team to ensure feasibility and costing
-Partner with packaging team for product merchandising
-Follow up with product development and production team to ensure product quality and aesthetic
-Conduct product and trend research, and develop concept boards
-Design products based on client\'s needs and current trends
-Create illustrations and patterns with a focus on colours
-Report to Design Team Lead
Skills & Experience:
-3-5 Years experience as an apparel/accessories graphic designer
-Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign (Mac)
-3DCLO/3DMACX is considered an asset
-Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
