The Opportunity: Production Coordinator

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Salary: $48-54K

Tony Curtis & Associates has a stellar opportunity for a savvy Production Coordinator with one of our leading full service, custom apparel manufacturers of head wear and accessories. Working with manufacturing facilities across the globe, from design and conception, sampling, production and distribution, this dynamic team of innovators brings product vision to life. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist and support General Manager and Sales team
• Assist with order entry, vendor PO’s and invoicing
• Assist with handling logistics. Communicate with freight forwarders daily to follow up on all shipments
• Create/develop and ensure accuracy of tech packs and communicate product specifications to factories in a timely manner
• Work with and communicate daily with vendors, overseas factories and clients
• Work with China team on sourcing new products and validating factory capabilities
• Select appropriate factories as needed
• Work with factories to develop initial samples, pp samples and final TOP samples
• Some artwork/graphic design may be required for specific clients
• Create and maintain sample library as well as confirm samples sent to customers as requested are consistent with product line and are properly labeled and tracked
• Special projects as determined

Required qualifications and work-related skills:
• Post-secondary education in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or equivalent
• 2 years of Fashion Merchandising experience, or equivalent
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must have
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
• Enjoys working independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
